For many years, Brussels City Hall has paid particular attention to disabled people and provided several facilities to guarantee them easy access to the entire Winter Wonders site.
Special access to the ice rink, on and off the ice, will be created at Place de la Monnaie, which will also be easily accessible via De Brouckère metro station and the Ecuyer and Monnaie car parks, which have lifts and spaces for disabled users. Disabled access will be found to the entrance of the ice rink, marked with the recognizable symbol. Ramps will also be placed along the route to make it easier to get around in wheelchairs.
All toilets will be fully accessible to disabled users.
In the centre of Vismet and place de la Monnaie, tables suitable for wheelchair users will be provided. On the outskirts of Quai au Bois à Brûler, disabled parking places are marked with the recognizable symbol. A special capsule accessible to wheelchair users will be available on the big wheel. The various cables supplying the route will be covered to allow them to be crossed by wheelchairs.
We advise disabled people who wish to travel to Winter Wonders by public transport to use Sainte-Catherine metro station (lines 1 and 5), which has lifts.
