During this year’s light & sound show, the majestic Grand-Place will be surrounded by the dancing Northern Lights. Immerse yourself in a fairy-tale inspired by Finland, the country being celebrated by the Winter Wonders. Feel the wind, the snow, the warmth of a camp fire in the vast plains of Lapland, and hear the sound of mythical creatures all around you. Happy holidays! Ihastuttava!

The trees and Christmas market squares will be illuminated by the “Northern Lights”.
At Vismet, the branches decorated with falling snow clusters will surround the centrepiece: a majestic 7.50 m ice tree whose glittering silver branches will shelter visitors.
The “Black Tower” at the back of the St. Catherine’s Church will be adorned in white for the occasion. There will be two lit-up arches and twenty-seven ice dragonflies placed in the corner of the square. A scene reminiscent of a little igloo will welcome the choirs, along with a Mongolian yurt!
Illuminated and festive walks
Illuminated and scintillating parades will be held in the streets of the city centre. Passing by the Stock Exchange, la Monnaie, and le Vismet, processions of light will offer an unusual and poetic event to enchanted visitors discovering the splendours of the Christmas market.
