Opening Winter Wonders

Winter Wonders is opening its doors at 12 noon on Friday 26 November.
Given the uncertain health and safety conditions, the late afternoon launch event on the same day will include the Christmas tree lights switch-on on Grand-Place followed by this year’s first sound and light show.
It’s also an opportunity to showcase this edition’s new additions and some particularly striking installations.
More details will follow given the changing health situation.

World aids day

The AIDS Prevention platform and its partners are again campaigning on World AIDS Day, Wednesday 1 December, with red ribbons and condoms handed out at Winter Wonders from 13:00 to 20:00.
A festive programme is coming to Rue Marché aux Poulets: Brazilian percussion, juggling, a photo booth, bowling in a giant condom… and free HIV screening.
It’s an opportunity too to launch a new campaign to tackle discrimination against people with HIV.

Staying true to the tradition and drawing on its long experience, Make-A-Wish Belgium works to grant the wishes of seriously ill children, bringing them strength and joy.
At the foot of the stunning Christmas tree on Grand-Place, you can buy a magic star and write down one of your hopes or dreams.

Sparkling light parades wind their way through the city centre’s streets to dazzle visitors.

There’s now a special Christmas programme on Sundays in partnership with Palace Cinema.
Kids leave the screening with an activity book full of games and colouring.
After a hot chocolate at the Palace bar, a visit to the Christmas market is a must!
