The Bike Parade will open the festivities of 2018 during a magical inauguration!
On Friday 30 November, the inauguration show of the Winter Wonders will give a foretaste of the unmissable event of the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2019, which will take place in Brussels to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the victory of Eddy Merckx in the Big Loop.
“The Bike Parade” will blend dances inspired by fairy-tales and marvellous bike creations which will inspire young and old. From the Grand-Place to the Big Wheel, like a graceful urban ballet, characters on bikes will spin in a magical, timeless dance.
The city centre will be a dream theatre which will evaporate as the parade advances.

Winter Vox, choirs at the heart of the city
Christmas at Brussels just wouldn’t be the same without choirs to make melodious airs resonate throughout the city. For the third consecutive year, the choirs and chorales will express the spirit of Christmas at the heart of the capital. “Bozar Music”, “Koor en Stem” and “À Cœur Joie” will team up with Winter Wonders to help the “Winter Vox” project its voice. From traditional Christmas carols to Gospel, from sacred chant to pop, the programme will be rich and varied. Magical moments to share and communion will also feature in the public space.
Weekly meetings at the “Black Tower” behind St. Catherine’s Church.
Saturdays and Sundays from 2 pm to 6 pm.
The Leffe Pavillon, an unmissable stop!
Right in the heart of Winter Wonders, Leffe will welcome you in an inviting atmosphere to savour the different varieties of this unique beer. You’ll have the opportunity to discover the entire range of this famous brewery and learn more about the origins of Leffe and its brewing process, resulting from the unique heritage and passion of its brewers.
In addition, during the Winter Wonders, Leffe has some surprises for curious visitors!
World AIDS Day – Saturday 01/12/2018
Plate-Forme Prévention Sida (AIDS prevention platform) and its partners are once again mobilising for World AIDS day.
Red ribbons and condoms will be distributed at the Winter Wonders in order to highlight that the fight against AIDS is more than ever a priority – In Belgium, almost 3 people are diagnosed HIV positive every day.
On 01 December from 2 pm to 7:30 pm, the association will also organise a festive event at Marché aux Poulets: Brazilian percussion, juggling, bowling against STIs in a giant condom, photo booth, free AIDS testing…and at 6 pm, an incredible DJ set by Todiefor!
The Zero Discrimination project will also be launched. The challenge is to collect a maximum number of hands forming a zero, since every person living with AIDS has the right to a life without discrimination. Go to www.zero-discrimination.be to post a photo (anonymous or not) on Facebook, Instagram or on the website in the photo gallery. Everyone’s participation counts for a Zero Discrimination world.
Faithful to tradition and drawing on a wealth of experience, the mission of Make-A-Wish Belgium South is to make the wishes of seriously ill children come true in order to bring them hope, strength and joy. At the foot of the sumptuous tree at the Grand-Place you can buy a magic star upon which you can write a wish or a dream.
You’ll contribute to making a wish of these little princes or princesses, who life has not given any presents, come true, and help them in their efforts to face their treatment with courage.
