The skating rink on Place De Brouckère

The Winter Wonders skating rink is the only open-air rink in Brussels, installed on Place de Brouckère for the delight of skaters of all ages. The terrace offers you the chance to soak up the atmosphere as you watch the action on the rink. Three curling rinks also form part of the skating rink this year. More information on prices and opening times.

The Christmas tree on Grand-Place

The Christmas tree designed this year by Brussels designer Jean-Paul Lespagnard will be set up on the Grand-Place at the end of NovemberIt stands proudly at the centre of the multicoloured sound-and-light show projected onto the façades of the most beautiful square in the world. When the festivities draw to a close in January, the tree’s wood is reused, for example, to create benches for the following year’s Winter Wonders or trophies for the BXL TOUR. In the same spirit, the Christmas tree decorations can be purchased in support of the food banks.

Support the food banks and make a real difference.

238 stallholders for one of the best Christmas markets in the world

Mulled wine, tartiflette, and croustillons are among the great festive classics, and the shared open terraces are the perfect place to enjoy these seasonal specialities. The chalets offer sweet and savoury treats, along with a wealth of gift ideas for the festive season. 35 of these chalets are run by craftspeople with the “artisan-producteur” label; they shine a spotlight on local creation and sustainable craftsmanship. The market covers several sites: Tour Noire, Vismet, Place Sainte-Catherine, Place de la Bourse, Place de la Monnaie, Place De Brouckère, Place Poelart, and Rue de la Madeleine. More information on the Christmas market.
