Reduced mobility access, a central focus

For years, the City of Brussels has paid particular attention to disabled people and provided several facilities to guarantee them easy access to the entire Winter Wonders site.

Although certain metro lines may require help, the Bourse, De Brouckère and Sainte-Catherine metro stations have lifts and the Ecuyer and Monnaie car parks include spaces for disabled users and elevators.

Around Place Sainte Catherine, all the disabled parking spaces are maintained throughout the event. Two additional spaces are made disabled-only on Rue du Marché aux Porcs, near the big wheel.

All toilets along the event route are fully accessible to disabled users using specially designed ramps.
The floors and cables are adapted to allow them to be crossed by wheelchairs.
On Place De Brouckère, the ice rink can be accessed via a ramp placed at the entrance.

A special capsule accessible to wheelchair users is available on the big wheel and covered tables suitable for wheelchair users are provided in the centre of Vismet.
