An accessible and inclusive event
The City of Brussels pays particular attention to people with reduced mobility and is doing everything in its power to ensure the inclusion of people with disabilities and to guarantee easy access to the entire Winter Wonders site.
- The metro stations Gare Centrale, Bourse, de Brouckère and Sainte-Catherine are equipped with lifts to allow PRM to easily reach the heart of the event.
- The Interparking Ecuyer and Monnaie have adapted parking spaces and lifts.
- Parking spaces are also reserved for PRM.
- The restrooms installed along the event route are accessible to people with disabilities, thanks to specially designed ramps. As well as the existing public toilets: Place Fontainas, Halles Saint Géry, Gare Centrale, De Brouckère and Bourse stations. And let’s not forget the brand-new public toilets and showers opposite the Falstaff tavern on the first floor of the Belgian Beer World Museum Bourse de Bruxelles.
- The same applies to the skating rink and the Big Wheel, which has a cabin adapted for wheelchairs.
- The flooring and the cable passageways are adapted to facilitate everyone’s movement.
