This year, Winter Wonders weaves connections between craftworkers, associations, and residents, while showcasing the heritage, culture, and know-how of Brussels. Within this theme, we celebrate mutual support, warmth, and collective creativity.
Inspired by the textile world of artist Stephan Goldrajch, whose 2025 poster evokes the threads and stitches of social connection, an invitation is extended across the city to weave community: to create, share, mend, and welcome.
On Rue de la Bourse and in the Espace Agora (beneath Bourse), several projects will embody this vision: the Knitting Bar, two solidarity chalets, a photo exhibition, and a photobooth, with part of the proceeds supporting solidarity-inspired initiatives.
The Knitting Bar, in Bourse, is a creative, welcoming space, open to all, fostering social connection, solidarity, and creativity in the city centre, where visitors can try their hand at knitting and help create solidarity scarves in collaboration with the Waka Up non-profit association. Join us at the Knitting Bar!
Two chalets have been assigned to the Brussels non-profit sector, which works tirelessly throughout the year to create connections between people. About a dozen ten associations will be present in these chalets. Discover the various associations and how you can support them.
This street exhibition on Rue de la Bourse features 20 portraits by photographer Kevin Laloux. These photos give pride of place to the faces of individuals and associations who actively weave the social connections of Brussels.
To increase the project’s accessibility and inclusivity for all participants, a dedicated space for children and babies is provided. It is the perfect place for families to take a break, warm up, or feed their children in a sheltered area.
